Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear. Thomas Jefferson "God is not threatened in the least by questioning, in fact He encourages it. Seek and you will find..." Gary 2010
HERE IS THE LETTER THAT WENT OUT IN 2006 THAT SCARED MANY PASTORS AND RABBI'S. It was from the "Progressive Liberal" Group Americans United for Separation of Church and State.". It shows the origional letter and then crosses out everything that is not true in the letter. Here
Do Christians have a resposibility to vote? Read here and here.

Dear God Fearing Voter:
“…Endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights…” from our Declaration of Independence and “We the people…” from the preamble of our Constitution is the basis for power in the United States. Rm 13:1 says, “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” In America the authority is “We the People” not a king or president. "We the People" have been established by God and are responsible to be involved and pray for wisdom as we select our leaders. On average Christians are 15% to 25% of the vote, 35% to 45% are not registered to vote, and 75% to 80% will not vote (www.electionforum.org). We are dishonoring God when we do not vote.
Many churches and synagogues have been intimidated by fear that our government will revoke their tax status if they speak out on such issues. (Resource on this) This kind of fear has kept people from speaking out at major times in our recent history. Recently, more and more Churches and Synagogues have been unwilling to speak out on eugenics, abortion, marriage between one man and one woman (a foundation of culture in most nations - including China, Russia, and India for 5,000 years), Generational Theft, Progressive Economics steal from the poor, Israel, rising anti-Semitism, and attacks on conservative women by liberals. They have been unwilling to talk about tyranny and a state taking an ever increasing role in people’s lives was being promoted by the Radical Progressive Liberals. Following is an example has been way overused by so many people recently it has lost much of its meaning. But it is a significant and relevant event which did happen and is a warning to all generations. That event is when the Churches and Synagogues at large in Germany refused to speak out. They did not speak out against killing insane people, then did not speak out about killing people with major health issues, then they did not speak out about putting Jews in ghettoes and then eventually murdering the Jews, and finally they did not speak out about the many true Christians, (one's that had truly chosen to follow Jesus not just being a member of a church.) that opposed the evil that had been let out of the box also being murdered.
Churches and Jewish groups have become irrelevant because of their silence: Will we continue to remain silent? Will we wait until it is too late? Because once an evil is unleashed or an evil leader elected it is much harder to undo the damage then it is to prevent it. Or will we protect the widow, the orphan, the poor, the person deceived by society into killing their unborn child, and our future children. Will we stand for marriage between one man and one woman? Or will we allow our country to descend into tyranny and destruction in silence.
“God cannot sustain this free and blessed country which we love and pray for unless the church will take right ground…politics are a part of religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God.” Charles Finney (1792–1875)
We are in a Spiritual Battle for the soul of our country. - As Christians and Jews, it is also a battle for the poor. Let me start by telling you why our current spending hurts the poor more than the rich. For the Federal Government to spend money that they do not have (i.e. Cap and Trade, Government Medicine) they can print it, or borrow it and either of these will cause inflation in the near future. Inflation steals from the poor and gives to the rich. Why? Because if you are poor you probably rent, whereas, the rich person owns property. And if we have 10% inflation then people that own property see the property increase in value at least 10%. So if they own a $1 Million dollar house their wealth increases by $100,000. The poor person’s rent will go up by 10% and if they pay $1000 rent it goes up to $1100 thus they are poorer by $1,200 a year. The end result is that inflation is a transfer of wealth from the poor to the wealthy. The government can also raise taxes to get money and this will slow down the economy which also hurts the poor more than the rich. The current monetary policies that are being pursued will ultimately hurt the poor, which all God fearing people would say is immoral. Why do we not hear these lessons from our religious leaders?
The poor will get less healthcare then they do today with the current Healthcare Bill, they will get less than the middleclass and the rich. – Why? Because when the government puts an artificial price cap on a thing you get less of that thing. The government only knows how to put a cap on prices not make things more efficient. The 10 year cost of Obamacare is now $1.76 Trillion, money that could go directly to people for their healthcare rather than to new government bureaucrats who control your healthcare. We already have a shortage of doctors; this bill will mean that we will have even fewer doctors because they will not invest the $250,000 it takes to become a doctor with the Government controlling their future. They will instead do something else with their talent. The wealthy can always pay somebody somewhere to get the best medical care in the world. This bill is not really about helping the poor it is all about establishing socialism in America. The result will be like healthcare in Canada, quoting Dr. Anne Doig, President of the Canadian Medical Association, “We all agree that the system is imploding”. (Link to article)
What can you do? Go to the links provided and become better educated on this issue yourself. Get involved in your place of worship. Print out this page and sit down with your pastor, priest or rabbi and ask if there is any we can do to be more pro-active and less reactive. Like the churches who have finally spoken out on marriage, when they said nothing about the most pro-abortion, and pro-homosexual president in the history of America. What did they think was going to happen? It is the same for our California. We have passed mandatory homosexual education, had the governor refuse to support Prop 8 (Marriage between one man and one woman) and only after the fact do churches sign petitions. By then it is tooooo late and will take 2 to 3 times the effort to overturn these bad law and policies as to vote good people into office.
We get the government we deserve. The problem is not the government but the people's hearts and minds that put them there.
One of the "We the People", Gary
